Hong Kong Contemporary is pleased to announce this month’s most recent additions to our growing partnership network: the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and the Dynasty Club. The Dutch Chamber of Commerce is extremely supportive of the arts, and particularly enthusiastic about promoting arts and culture in Hong Kong. The Dynasty Club is a luxury private membership club, conveniently located within the same complex as the world renowned Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

We are excited to be welcoming Ha Jung-Woo, Korean Actor/Artist, as a special guest at the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Fair. Ha Jung-Woo's performance as the psychopath killer in Korean box office hit "The Chaser," elevated Ha Jung-Woo's status as one of the most sought after actors working in the Korean film industry. Since "The Chaser," Ha Jung-Woo has been working virtually non-stop appearing in films like "My Dear Enemy," "The Moonlight of Seoul," "Boat," & "Take Off." In addition to exhibiting visual art and attending the Opening Party as well as other special events, Ha Jung-Woo will be painting a pair of DKNY JEANS to be auctioned and the sale’s proceeds will support a local charity.

With the introduction of both local and international categories for the HK Contemporary Art Award, we have had an overwhelming response from artists with various styles and backgrounds. There are still a few weeks left to apply so if you know any artists, spread the word! It is a great opportunity! The five pieces to receive the highest number of "facebook likes" by the public during the voting period will be chosen for the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Award Exhibition. These five finalists, along with all local artists on exhibition at Hong Kong Contemporary, will be eligible to win the Hong Kong Contemporary Local Art Award. The winner will receive a Round-Trip Business Class Flight from Hong Kong to Seoul courtesy of Asiana Airlines plus ₩500,000 Korean Won!

Currently, we have gallery representation from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, France, UK, India, China, Canada and America. The strong overseas presence ensures a high quality and dynamic cultural exchange.
